Sinkhole at Penn State parking garage leaves visitors, faculty stranded for hours

UPDATE | University Park, PA (WJAC) — Officials say a sinkhole at the Eisenhower Parking Deck on Penn State’s University Park campus has left people stranded for hours. Penn State officials say the sinkhole appeared at about noon Wednesday. The parking facility was full of cars from workers to campus visitors. Travel over Memorial Day holiday weekend expected to be busiest in years

SEATTLE (KOMO) — The unofficial start of summer is almost here. But this year, the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend could be the third-busiest in about 23 years, according to AAA. "The desire to travel is high," AAA spokesperson Aixa Diaz said. "It's back to what it was pre-pandemic." Trial date scheduled in Michigan for man accused of raping woman on PSU golf course

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — A trial date has been set in Michigan for a man charged with rapes there, and in State College, that date back more than 20 years ago. The Michigan case is up first for Kurt Rillema, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, and that outcome could decide whether he is ever extradited to Pennsylvania to face court action in Centre County. Police say the two cases are similar in that they involve accusations of Rillema raping women at golf courses. Read More...
