Ferguson Township police are asking for the public’s help in solving a nearly 3-year-old homicide.
Police said for the first time in the department’s history, they’ve dedicated a cold case team to investigate three unsolved cases, including the homicide of Jean Tuggy.
Tuggy was found in her home on Irion Street shot in the face with no sign of a struggle or break-in Jan. 20, 2016, according to police.

University Park, PA (WJAC) — There is more controversy at Penn State as one of the university's most outspoken trustees is drawing criticism from trustee leadership on how he presented a proposal on honoring Joe Paterno.
In a letter to Penn State trustee Anthony Lubrano, the university trustee chair and vice chair say he created a "public spectacle" at the February 16th board of trustees meeting.
The trustee leadership also says interviews that Lubrano did with us here at WJAC and a local radio station were inconsistent with guidance that trustee media appearances be coordinated with the university's strategic communications team. Read More...
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC). — The newly crowned Miss Pennsylvania USA and Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA joined 6 News at Sunrise on Monday morning. On Sunday night, Victoria Piekut was announced as Miss Pennsylvania USA 2020, and Kiara Lin as Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA 2020, at the Richland Performing Arts Center in Johnstown.
At just 23 years old, Piekut is the co-founder and president of Wight Elephant Boutique. The Irwin, Pennsylvania, native says she is passionate about finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and raising awareness of Ehler’s Danlos syndrome and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome – two health conditions she has personally faced.
