STATE COLLEGE – A State College doctor who recently had his license suspended for 30 months was sentenced Thursday.
Kenneth Cherry Jr., who was accused of improperly prescribing controlled substances to a woman with whom he was having an affair, was sentenced to 18 months of probation and a day of community service on three misdemeanor charges of failing to keep proper records.
Cherry, 58, an orthopedic surgeon at University Orthopedics Center in State College, had his license temporarily suspended July 10. Read More...

Cicada experts have designed an app to answer just that.
The free app is called Cicada Safari, and it allows users to track, photograph and map the interesting insects.
