The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies held their annual Founder’s Day on Thursday where they presented their annual report to the community.
The event took place at the community foundation Oilhouse in People's Natural Gas Park in Johnstown. Organizers tell us that they experienced a record-breaking year with over 17 million dollars in grants that were distributed to the community, and a record breaking 123 million dollars in assets. WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has asserted executive privilege over audio of his interview with special counsel Robert Hur that's at the center a Republican effort to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress, the Justice Department told lawmakers in a letter publicly released on Thursday.

The Biden administration rolled out a new rule aimed at speeding up the process for asylum claims at the border as President Joe Biden is facing pressure to slow down illegal crossings that have become a political headache for his reelection campaign.
Thursday’s rule announced by the Department of Homeland Security would allow asylum officers to determine if a person seeking asylum presents a threat at an earlier stage in the process than current rules, which allow someone to continue in the asylum process even if they have a criminal history or pose a risk to national security.
