Owner of unlicensed cannabis chain vows to appeal $15.2M fine

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) — A chain of unlicensed cannabis stores in New York is being investigated after beingaccused of selling to underage customers. The owner faces a fine of $15.2 million. Several "I'm Stuck" cannabis shops are now closed, including one in Rochester -- which wasn't among the seven shut down by the state last summer. Water main break causes dirty water for parts of the Johnstown area

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — According to the Highland Sewer and Water Authority, a water main break on Tuesday is causing dirty water in parts of the Johnstown area. The areas affected are Geistown and Richland. According to staff with HSWA, the water main break occurred in Beaverdale Tuesday afternoon, but has since been isolated. HSWA said a change of flow caused the dirty water. Crews are currently flushing the system and hope to have the problem fixed by the end of the day on Wednesday. Read More...

Altoona elementary students sing Christmas carol to elderly neighbor

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Officials with the Altoona Area School District say a parent took this video of Juniata Gap elementary students singing to an elderly neighbor. The school says Janet waits outside her apartment every day to say hello to the students, whom she calls her "babies," as they head to school. To surprise her this holiday season, the school says the bus driver taught the students a Christmas song that they then sang to her on their last day before Christmas break. Read More...
